Is the free plan really free?
Yes. Screenshots, the annotation editor, Scroll Snip, the Capture Vault and shareable links cost nothing and always will. Pro exists because hosting video costs us money every month; hosting an image does not.
What happens to my videos if I cancel?
Your account returns to Free. Existing videos stay available, but you'll be over the 25-video limit until you delete some, and new recordings return to the Free limits of 5 minutes at 1080p.
Do my snips ever expire?
No. Nothing you upload is deleted on a timer, on either plan — a link you shared last year still works today. If you reach the storage limit on Free you decide what to remove, or upgrade. We never make that choice for you.
Do I need the macOS app?
No. SnipIt works entirely in the browser — paste or drop an image and you get a link. The macOS app adds screen recording, Scroll Snip, global hotkeys and the Capture Vault.
Is there a Windows app?
It's in development and close to release. Your account and everything you've uploaded work across both.
Can I use SnipIt for client work?
Yes. Every snip and video is private by default, and you control whether each one is publicly viewable.
